Mackenzie's journey to finding Reiki and consequently the rest of her spiritual practice started with poor habits, insecurity, and unhappiness. Following a few life-threatening experiences and hard-learned lessons, she took time to go within and reflect on everything that brought her to that point. She found that she was lacking balance in her life and that most of her suffering was self-inflicted. Soon after setting the intention to recalibrate and heal, she discovered the book Chakra Healing: A Beginner's Guide to Self-Healing Techniques that Balance the Chakras by Margarita Alcantara. She studied the chakras which led her to meditation, Reiki, mindfulness, diet changes, and yoga. Through her process of self-transformation using these techniques, she learned that healing is in the hands of the individual.
Mackenzie’s Reiki journey began at the beginning of 2022 and in 2023 she became an Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master. Seeking a way to bring in more feminine energy, Mackenzie became a Violet Flame Reiki Master/Teacher by the end of 2023 which brought about a scintillating balance of feminine and masculine energy to her practice. Although she has the title, she does not consider herself a "master of Reiki" because the work is never complete, and there is always more to learn. Mackenzie remains committed to sharing her practice to help others achieve balance and master their own destiny.
At Middle Pillar Reiki, Mackenzie's mission is to provide high-quality Reiki services that help the recipient achieve physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual balance. Her main focus is to support the body's natural ability to heal itself by restoring positive energy flow within the body.
Mackenzie is currently a traveling Usui Reiki and Violet Flame Reiki practitioner offering in-home, in-person or distance healing sessions. She uses a variety of techniques to personalize each session to the unique needs of each recipient. In-home sessions are currently offered in Dartmouth, New Bedford, Acushnet, Fairhaven, Fall River, Westport, Freetown, and Marion, MA.
